First few weeks he was so quiet I thought we'd got lucky, then it all came out. Pacing, wouldn't lie down. That early quiet was him shut down. He's finally actually resting now, not just frozen. Long road but we're there.

Did everything the rescue told us and she still wouldn't switch off. Started to think I wasn't the right home for her. Around week five something shifted and she settles on her own now. She just needed more time than I'd been told.

Does what it says. Calmer dog after about a month.

Soon as I picked up my keys she'd shake and hide. It wasn't the neighbours I cared about, it was her. Month or so in and she settles while I'm gone instead of falling apart. Relief for both of us.

Neighbour told us she cried at the window for hours while we were out. Tried the radio, an old jumper, everything. This is the first thing that calmed the panic. She naps now instead of keeping watch.

used to go from dead asleep to full panic at any knock. now he gives one bark and lies back down. still a watchdog just not a wreck about it

She'd pace and pant through every storm and I'd be up half the night. I worried this would knock her out but it's nothing like that. She just doesn't wind herself up. Last few storms she stayed on her own bed.

Put off trying anything for ages, terrified of a flat dopey dog. He's the opposite. Steadier through the day but still does his zoomies and still nicks socks. Calm, not switched off.

Calmer but still himself. Exactly what I hoped.

I'd done the behaviourist, a special harness, two other products he ate and ignored. Only had money for one more shot and this was the one that worked. Bit annoyed it took me so long to get here.

Every other tub just said "proprietary blend." This one lists everything. She eats it no problem, no dodgy tummy, and I know what she's having.

The guarantee is the only reason I chanced it. Gave it the full run, saw him come good over about six weeks, never needed it. Nice not to feel locked into a mistake.

First year with our JRT rescue he'd spend all day trying to get out through the fence. Dug under it twice and I found him halfway down the street, heart in my mouth. Wasn't boredom, the vet reckoned it was anxiety. Six weeks on the daily chews and he's stopped patrolling the fence line. Lies in the sun by the back door now.

She would NOT stay in the garden while I was at work and I tried everything, pigs ears, chew things as I left, none of it held her. A month or so on this and she's not clawing at the side gate anymore. Wish I'd found it sooner.

used to get out every chance he got, patched that fence three times mate. hasnt tried in weeks now. just chills on the deck

First couple weeks I saw nothing, still had a go at the fence. Clicked around week four. Not overnight, but it got there.

Stopped testing the fence. Just lies in the shade now instead of looking for the way out.

Kelpie x, treated the backyard like a prison break. Not anymore. Good boy.

Every dog we passed meant lunging, screaming, me getting pulled off my feet. I was walking her at 5am just to avoid everyone. She's a rescue, gets overwhelmed near other dogs, not aggressive, just can't cope. A month in and she can pass one on the footpath and just look up at me. We walk in daylight now.

He'd get so stressed if another dog was even in the same room that we stopped having mates round. He's steadier now, had a few over with their dog on the weekend and he settled after ten minutes instead of an hour.

shares a fence with a big shepherd next door, used to be chaos every day. so much quieter now, we can actually sit outside lol

Reactivity to other dogs was our main thing. Won't pretend it's gone. But she recovers in seconds now instead of the whole walk being a write-off.

Used to lunge at everything on four legs. Walked past the dog park yesterday like it was nothing. Still keen, not frantic.

Way better around other dogs now. Not perfect but night and day.

The second I picked up the lead she'd bolt and hide in the laundry. You could tell she wanted to come, she just couldn't do it. Weeks on the chews and she meets me at the door now, tail going. Still cautious, but we're getting there.

Rescue Greyhound who'd freeze two houses down and refuse to budge, so I'd end up half carrying 35kg of dog home. Now he'll walk the block. Not shutting down at the front gate anymore.

She'd walk ten steps, stop dead, then five, then nothing. Took five or six weeks but she'll do a full short walk now.

Used to bolt at the sight of the lead. Waits at the door now. Massive.

Wouldn't leave the driveway before. Now he pulls to get out the door. Took a month.
